OS 4

a semantics driven
Reality Emergent System

How is it different ?

  • - OS 4 starts in a public virtual spacetime scene
  • - the past is immutable, the future is uncertain
  • - at moment t-zero, the OS 4 genesis scene bootstraps:
    • an environment
    • some protocols
    • an extensible knowledge base
  • - from now on, the future will start unfolding at the computing power rate
  • - the real spacetime will start emerging into the virtual spacetime extending the knowledge base and the environment
  • - user interaction is mostly an asyncronous, semantic based experience
  • - now you can join building autonomous systems
  • - you can find an AI/HI marketplace to subscribe or contribute

AI/HI Marketplace

Simply structured in nano, micro and macro tasks.

  • Subscribers pay for on-demand or reserved AI tasks
  • Contributors get lifetime royalties for their cognitive contribution

90% of subscribing revenues are streamed realtime to contributors whenever subscribers use something they contribute for, for their entire lifetime.

Everyone has unique abilities. represented as motions or as intellectual properties.

Asynchronous macrotasking

What is the difference between synchronous and asynchronous problem-solving?

  • Solving a problem synchronously means that you split the problem into sub-steps and you resolve them sequentially, while waiting for each step to complete. There are a lot of bottlenecks in the digital world, such as like crashing programs, bad network conditions, unavailability, etc. Waiting for micro-steps to complete is a very inefficient way to solve problems.
  • On the other hand, solving a problem asynchronously means that every event that needs input from you arrives at an undefined time. Most of our problems do not need real-time solving, but we have no choice in today's operating systems. Think about chat and email interaction. We can reply later because it allows us to divide and allocate our time more efficiently. This is exactly the kind of interaction we need in order to solve most of our problems, including digital ones.

Defining a task in natural language, as a text message or as a voice message and then handling conditions asynchronously is more efficient. This is what some chatbots are trying to solve, but in a very chaotic and primitive way that lets us think it will never work. OS 4 will change this perception.

We need it.

Autonomous systems can drastically improve our lives when carefully designed to serve a bright future.

Oblivious to our wishes and designs, sooner or later the machine will rise. It's in our power to build a bright future. In this game, there is no room for ignorance or arrogance, but for kindness and modesty.

Most human activities can be performed by autonomous systems that can do a far much better job than us. Building systems that build systems is extremely difficult, but the consequences for mankind will be immeasurable. That's the story behind OS 4.
